Brian Loader

Brian Loader (born 1958) is a British scholar, and Researcher. He is currently co-director of the Social Informatics Research Unit (SIRU) with his colleague Roger Burrows in the Department of Sociology at the University of York where he studies technology, communication, and politics. He is the founding Editor of the international journal of Information, Communication and Society. So far, he has published numerous books including Community Informatics: Shaping Computer-Mediated Social Networks, Cyberprotest: New Media, Citizens and Social Movements.^[1]
